Shallow Design Profile

Shallow Design Profile

The shallow design, with built-in fall can minimise or eliminate the need to remove the existing timber flooring or check-out the floor joists. When the drain is placed on the floor, assuming 19mm of floor board and 6mm of tile underlay, the 25mm thickness of the floor is sufficient to install the drain without the need to cut or check-out the floor joists or posi-struts.

Installing on Timber Floors
This shallow drain design also makes installing a drain on a second storey easier and can eliminate the need to recess the shower floor, when the drain is installed at the front of the shower. In a bid to make it as easy as possible to install a shower on a flat floor, Creative Drain Solutions has created the Absolute lineal drain solution, which is based on  either the Advantage or Ultimate style lineal drain, with an integrated “F” flashing. For more details on the Absolute package, please consult the Product section of this web site.

The photo above illustrates the hole cut in the floor with the drain sitting next to it.

Installing on Concrete Slabs
When installing a lineal drain on a concrete slab or balcony, the shallow design, with built-in fall, minimises the size of rebate required in a concrete slab and makes installation much easier.
